2011 PEUGEOT Hoggar

The Peugeot Hoggar is evidence of the company's international ambitions and confirmation that Peugeot is speeding up its new product launch strategy. Developed in Brazil, for the Brazilian market, the pick-up is designed to meet the requirements of the local clientele, consolidating Peugeot's position as national manufacturer.

Fuelling its policy of commercial expansion on the Brazilian market, Peugeot presents the Hoggar pick-up, the Marque's first compact pick-up developed in Brazil.

The name Hoggar - after a mountain chain in the Sahara desert, in Africa - taken from one of the Marque's concept cars, evokes a combination of power, strength and action.

The compact pick-up, which completes the Brazilian 207 family range, already containing a wealth of hatchback versions, the SW, SW Escapade and the Passion notchback saloon, demonstrates Brazil's importance as a strategic market for the worldwide growth of Peugeot's sales, together with, in particular, Russia, China and the ASEAN countries, other mainstays of the Marque's international expansion plan.

With the extension of its product range in Brazil, Peugeot's full-year sales target for the Peugeot Hoggar is 10% of the Brazilian compact pick-up market, a market that continues to grow.
